Aloo Posto Recipe
Aloo Posto is a usual Bengali recipe that you can easily prepare at domestic alongside with poori or luchi. How to make Aloo Posto :-
Step 1-
To prepare this handy yet scrumptious dish, you need to boil the potatoes first. Once they are boiled, drain the water and let the potatoes cool down. Once they are convenient to handle, peel them off and cut in cubes in a bowl. Then, you need poppy seed paste for making this dish. (Note: If you do no longer have it, you can make the paste through roasting poppy seeds and then crushing it with a little water.)
Step 2-
Next, put a pan over medium flame and heat oil in it. When the oil is warm enough, add the potatoes in it and fry them nicely until they are golden brown in colour. Once the potatoes are fried, add the poppy seed paste (also regarded as posto bata in Bengali). Stir once and then add salt in it alongside with a pinch of turmeric powder. (Note: You can additionally add dry pink chilli before frying the potatoes.)
Step 3-
Use a spoon to stir nicely and prepare dinner for 2 minutes. If the dish is too dry, add a little water and stir again. Turn off the flame and serve with luchi or easy poori.
