For diesel, the central excise adds up to Rs 31.83 and VAT to Rs 10.99. Besides, the price also includes a dealer commission of a minimum Rs 2.6 per litre on petrol and Rs 2 on diesel.
New Delhi: Petrol and diesel prices remained unchanged for 11th consecutive day on Wednesday as oil marketing companies kept the rates at pause.

Petrol and diesel prices are revised on a daily basis in line with benchmark international price and foreign exchange rates.
Brent crude settled down 72 cents, or 1.06%, at $67.52 a barrel. The contract pulled back after trading as high as $69.33. It reached $71.38 on Monday, the highest since Jan. 8, 2020. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) fell $1.04, or 1.6% to settle at $64.01 a barrel. The contract hit its highest on Monday since October 2018, a Reuters report said.
