Hookah vs. Bong What’s the Difference?

Bongs and hookahs may feel like veritably analogous particulars, but this could n’t be further from the truth. There are a lot of parallels between a hookah and a bong, sure, but they’re also veritably different smoking pipes, and understanding these differences can help you get the stylish bank sessions possible. After all, knowing a little further about your favorite smoking bias might help you save the day at a party or reflex one day. Then’s your companion to understanding the differences and parallels between hookahs and bongs. What is a Bong? Let’s start with the basics of the ( simpler) bong. Bongs are a type of water pipe that can be applied to smoke tobacco, marijuana, and other smokeables. This serves two purposes, first to cool the smoke and second to purity out debris and toxins from the smoke. The effectiveness of water pipes to refiner out debris and poisons is debatable, but the cooler bank does serve to lessen lung damage from heat. A bong consists of a stem, down stem, and a bowl. The bowl is a veritably small bowl, commonly consisting of enough smoke able for one or two people to smoke in 4-5 successes. You smoke a bong by placing your mouth into the top of the stem, sealing it against your face, and also lighting the bowl with a match or lighter. You inhale, remove the coliseum when ready, and inhale the bank in the bong. It’s a very simple process that achieves its purpose and delivers thick, heavy, cool clouds of smoke. What is a Hookah? Hookah pipes are another form of water pipe, but one that’s slightly more complicated in nature, with further pieces involved. In the vase base of the hookah, above the waterline, there’s also a spout that comes out and connects to the stocking. in the bowl, which is pulled through the stem into the vase where it bubbles through the water, and sometime flows through the stocking and into your mouth and lungs. What are the similarities between Hookahs & Bongs? Both hookahs and bongs are types of waterpipe, meaning they’re smoking bias designed to use water as a filtration system for the smoke. This serves substantially to cool down the bank, which can make it thicker, smoother, overall more affable to smoke. Another similarity is the use of a bowl to hold the smoke tables that you’re smoking in that particular smoke session.  Other than that, still, bongs and hookahs could n’t be more different. What are the differences between Bongs & Hookahs?  Boy, are there a lot of them. Bongs are relatively simple and are generally only two or three separate pieces. Hookahs, on the other hand, are at least a half a dozen pieces or further total. Bongs and hookahs also use different systems of producing banks. Bongs are typical of other types of pipes, using combustion as the method for producing bank. This bank is frequently at an incredibly high temperature when burning, which can lead to hotter smoke and further toxins in the smoke. Hookahs use vaporization rather than combustion. Instead of lighting the actual smokable on fire, hookahs use the heat of burning coals to essentially cook the smokeables, producing a much cooler smoke that’s also cooled further by the water. Another difference is what you smoke. In a bong, you would bomb dry marijuana, or dry tobacco splint. But in a hookah, you nearly always smoke shisha, a wet flavored form of tobacco splint made with molasses, glycerin and sometimes honey as well as flavorings, like the famous Double Apple. You can also smoke marijuana from a hookah, but this is nearly always done by mixing the marijuana with shisha tobacco for a blend of nicotine and weed. The final difference is the sock versus the top of the stem. When smoking from a bong, you place your mouth and lips at the top of the stem, stinking in to light the bowl and inhale smoke. With a hookah, you use a sock, attached to the base, and the bowl rests atop the stem rather.
